Facts, Lies, Distortion — Debunking the Occupation Myth
This week’s Bible reading, Parsha Chaya Sarah debunks the Occupation myth. Or does it?
I have been thinking about what to write for this week’s Parsha. The world thinks this land is occupied.
Well, I’ll ask you, how can you occupy your own land? And in this weeks’ Parsha, Chayei Sarah. we have the purchase of the land in Hebron, the burial cave by Abraham, the forefather of the Jews.
The cover photo (image) is from Hebron in 1853 showing the building over the cave of the Patriarchs built by Herod and is one the oldest surviving Buildings in the world. Note, the few houses in the area. More of that later.
And what’s interesting here is that, yeah, sure, we could write a thesis on this land is ours, and how, you know, there were never any Palestinians here, but the world will never “see or hear the truth”.
As we see already in the distortion of the October 7 Massacre, the world refuses to see what actually happened and are bought in by the Lies. There is no conscious effort to see the facts. They are blinded to the truth. Like when you get angry, you can not be rational. Same with Holocaust denial.
It is like inherent Antisemitism built in people’s minds.

In any event, I decided to dig a little deeper into this and look at the definition of the word “Occupation”
“Occupation may be defined as the effective control of a foreign territory by hostile armed forces. This definition derives from. Article 42 of the Hague Regulations of 1907, which states that “Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under. the authority of the hostile army.”
The question I then asked Google is “Can one occupy their own Land?” ?
There were no direct or obvious replies, however some of the results:

“One of the world’s longest ongoing occupations is Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem (1967-present) and the Gaza Strip (1967–2005), both Palestinian territories.”
So, it seems that is a fact this Palestinian territory?? (AGAIN, New Truths made up?)
Who occupied Palestine first?
During the Iron Age, two related Israelite kingdoms, Israel and Judah, controlled much of Palestine, while the Philistines occupied its southern coast. The Assyrians conquered the region in the 8th century BCE, then the Babylonians in c. 601 BCE, followed by the Persians who conquered the Babylonian Empire in 539 BCE.
So, looking at this mumble jumble, the real question is whose Land is this?
Solving this question would appear to solve the label of occupiers and bring new hope for “Peace”
THERE IS AN OLD BOOK “PALESTINA EX” MONUMENTIS VETERIBUS ILLUSTRATA” which debunks the occupation fallacy.
The author Adriani Rilandi is a geographer, cartographer, traveler, and philologist, he knew several European languages, Arabic, ancient Greek, and Hebrew.
The book is written in Latin. In the year 1695
Rilandy was describing what was then called Palestine.
This is a survey of biblical “Palestine.” Seminal study with maps showing “Palestine” in 1714, contained mostly Jews and almost no muslims. The book in very good condition.
He visited almost 2,500 settlements mentioned in the Bible. The research was conducted as follows:
*He first created the map of Palestine.
He then designated every settlement mentioned in the Bible or the Talmud with its original name.
* If the original was Jewish, it meant
“pasuk” (sentence in the Holy Scriptures, which mentions the name. )
* If the original was Roman or Greek, the connection was in Latin or Greek.
In the end, he made a population census by settlements.
HERE ARE THE MAIN CONCLUSIONS AND SOME FACTS:
* The country is mainly empty, abandoned, and sparsely populated, the main population in
Jerusalem, Akko, Tsfat, Jaffa, Tveria and Gaza.
* Most of the population is Jews, almost everyone else is Christians, very few Muslims, mostly Bedouins.
*The only exception is Nablus (now)
Schem), in which approximately 120 people from the Muslim family Natsha lived and approximately 70 “shomronim” (Samaritans).
* In Nazareth, the capital of Galilee, lived approximately 700 people — all Christians.
* In Jerusalem — about 5000 people, almost all Jews and a few Christians.
* In 1695, everyone knew that the origin of the country was Jewish.
* There is not a single settlement in Palestine that has Arabic roots in its name.
* Most settlements have Jewish originals and in some cases Greek or Roman Latin.
* Apart from the city of Ramla, there is no Arabic settlement that has an original Arabic name.
Jewish, Greek or Latin names that have been changed to Arabic that don’t make any sense in Arabic.
In Arabic, names like Akko, Haifa, Jaffa, Nablus, Gaza or Jenin do not make any sense, and names like Ramallah, al-Khalil (Hebron), al-Quds (Jerusalem) do not have philological or historical Arabic roots.
So, for example, in 1696, Ramallah was called Bethel (Beit El, the House of God), Hebron was called Hebron and the Cave of Mahpel was called El-Khalil (the nickname of Abraham) by the Arabs.
* Relandi mentions Muslims only as nomadic Bedouins who came to the cities as seasonal workers in agriculture or construction.
* About 550 people lived in Gaza, half of them Jews and half Christians. Jews were successful in agriculture, especially in vineyards, olives and wheat, Christians were trading and by transportation.
* Jews lived in Tveria and Tsfat, but their occupation is not mentioned, except for the traditional fishing in Kineret.
* In the village of Um El Fahm, for example, lived 10 families, all Christians (about 50 people). There stood a small Maronite church.
The book completely refutes theories about “Palestinian traditions,”
to the “Palestinian people” and has almost no link between the land and the Arabs, who even stole the Latin name of the land (Palestine) and took it for themselves.

Some of my questions for further research
1. When and from where did the Arabs come from after the year 1700 onwards?
2. If the Arabs were so oppressed, then how come the population grew so fast?
3. Where did all Christians go to? Were they ethnically cleansed, or forced to convert?
4. Why has there been no outcry from Christians about the ethnic cleansing of Christians (and the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Muslim Countries especially in 1948)
5. I am sure there are many more questions..
Yep, we have a lot of questions, and double standards, but let’s hear from..
Sheikh Ahmad Adwan, a Muslim scholar living in Jordan, wrote on his personal Facebook page that in the Quran there is no country like Palestine and Allah has entrusted the Promised Land to the Jews until the day of Judgment (according to Quran, surah 5 verse 21) and “the children of Israel (the country) will inherit” (Quran, surah 26, verse 59).
“I say this to everyone who distorts the Great Book of Allah — the Quran! Where did she get this name — Palestine? You are liars, you are damned. Allah has already used the term “promised land” and bewitched it to the children of Israel before the day of Judgment. There is no country like Palestine in the Quran. Your words that this land belongs to you are nothing more than a lie that is a threat to the Koran, the people of Israel and the country. So your efforts will not be crowned with success and Allah will disappoint and humiliate you as he comes to defend the Jews. “It is a great honor for the Jews that Allah chose them from all the nations of the world.
The Sheikh added: “Palestinians are murderers of children, the elderly and women. They attack the Jews and then hide on the backs of children, women and the elderly without sparing them as if they were not their children.
They are doing this to show the whole world how the Jews want them killed. I saw this with my own eyes in the 70’s. When they attacked the Jordanian army, they sent their children forward to make the whole world think that the Jordanians kill children. Such behavior is in their blood, this is their crime. Their hearts are like stone, trying to manipulate public opinion to get support.”
Let us recall that earlier the Jordanian Sheikh visited Israel and met with Jewish sages. Adwan added: “The Jews are a very peaceful people who love peace. There is no animosity or aggression in them, but if attacked, they are forced to defend themselves, trying to cause as little harm as possible to the attacking side.
“It is a great honor for the Jews that Allah chose them from all the peoples of the world. When Allah chose the Jews, He didn’t do it just out of courtesy, simply because they were Jews, which means they deserved it.”
And if you are still not convinced, what can I say — You are blind to the facts and truth.
